Jews are required to eat kosher, in other words, according to the precepts and prohibitions in the Torah. Among others, consumption of the meat of multiple animals is prohibited; it is also prohibited to combine certain kosher foods, such as meat and butter. Our sages, rabbis justify adherence to these oftentimes complex rules and regulations of kosher eating by their impact on our spirituality, the ethics of a pious person.
Every Jewish community is required to provide Jews with access to kosher foodstuffs. The Chief Rabbi of Poland, Michael Schudrich oversees the kashrut of the foods the Jewish Community members can purchase and of the places they can dine in. The list below has been compiled based on the Chief Rabbi’s recommendations in order to facilitate access to kosher products and the retailers that stock them.
